In our current political climate, 100 Days of Joy is a collective act of creative resistance. This project is a collaborative/cross-country/virtual performance series bringing together 100 artists (musicians, dancers, visual artists, poets, filmmakers, and more) to create original work inspired by the theme: Joy as Resistance. Cultivating joy takes an intentional stance against fear and despondency that is encouraged by the almost daily attack on our constitution and democratic norms.
In early 2027, one video will air per day for 100 consecutive days online. It’s 100 voices, 100 forms of joy, 100 days of proof that creativity endures and that joy shines even in dark times.
The process should spark joy for participating artists and not feel draining or burdensome.
